Why you can trust this

Our restaurant rankings aren't set by AI, ads, or paid reviews — they're set by public records of what Korean civil servants actually paid for with official (corporate-card) expenses. Unlike star ratings, this ranking can't be bought.

Official expense records are public data, disclosed by law. Unlike fakeable ratings or blog posts, the fact that officials repeatedly paid with public funds is a local-verification signal that can't be forged.

Why I built this

I love hunting for good food. I used to find places through blogs and YouTube — some were the real deal, but sometimes I fell for viral hype.

Once I asked a local taxi driver for a recommendation, and it worked out. Another time, it turned out the place belonged to the driver's wife.

That feeling of being played somehow changed how the food tasted — and how the whole place felt.

I didn't want to spend so much energy just to find a decent meal. I wanted to cut the risk. It didn't have to be legendary — I just wanted to walk out thinking, "Yep, this place is good."

So I turned to what Korean civil servants actually paid for with their official meal budgets. It's public record by law, so there's no room for ads or viral marketing. That's what this site is built on.

What this site promises

A civil-servant favorite may not be every traveler's once-in-a-lifetime meal. But if you don't want to gamble on food in an unfamiliar place, you'll find somewhere that's reliably good.

Selection & scoring

  1. 1Distance weighting — spots right next to the office are penalized; places worth a trip are rewarded (Michelin-style bell curve).
  2. 2Cross-agency verification — bonus when multiple agencies visit the same spot.
  3. 3Heritage & certification bonus — for long-running and certified restaurants.

Masked records can't be identified; coordinates, photos and ratings are reference info enriched from external data. We clearly separate facts (visit counts, agencies) from enriched info.
